Nasi Uduk Ayam Goreng Mat Lengket Jakarta

I always fall in love to Indonesian foods. One of them is nasi uduk. I highly recommend you to visit "Nasi Uduk Ayam Goreng Mat Lengket" that has been established since 1973. This restaurant has been my favourite since 9 years ago and the taste has never changed! Why is it named Mat Lengket? First, I thought it is the name of the owner. But I was wrong. It is actually the father's name of the owner, Mrs. Lili Sutinah. The place and how they serve the customers are still same. No special facilities like air conditioner, wifi, nor plugs. Only clean and friendly atmosphere. But the mouth-watering fried chicken is worth it, right? :D The space of the restaurant is quite large. I bet it can accommodate around 80 customers. Though so many chairs available, this restaurant is always full. Well..let's talk about the food haha. Uduk rice is a characteristic food from Betawi. It is a steamed rice that cooked with coconut milk. And a perfect companion of uduk rice is fried chicken. However, not only fried chicken that is served in here, but also stewed dogfruit, stink bean, fried chicken liver, fried chicken gizzard, and many more. But you have to come earlier to get the delicious fried chicken liver and gizzard! Moreover, the service is nice and super quick! :D

This is it! The most delicious fried chicken that I've ever had! Eat it while warm with uduk rice, sambal, sliced cucumber, and fried onions. It tastes incredibly yuuuuummm! What more can I say? The chicken is fried with the secret recipe which makes it so soft and tasty. Their signature sambal makes it even more better! It is a lil' bit sweet, thus for those who can't stand for spicy food, you can eat the uduk rice along with the sambal.

Most customers order this orange juice, including me and my family. We very love it! Unlike the other restaurants who add more water to the squeezed orange, this restaurant served the original one with no additional water. This makes it tastes soooo orange and sweet! You gotta love it! :D
