Martabak Casablanca Yogyakarta

Street Food? Why not? I'd like to present you Martabak Casablanca! Located at Seturan Raya Street, across to STIE YKPN. Due to their super strategic location, this place is never really lack of crowd. But don't worry, they provide plenty of plastic chairs for you to wait the martabak. Martabak Casablanca has been established for 2 years. They have 3 stalls. The first one is for sweet flavour of martabak, the second is for the savoury flavour, and the last is for grilled bread. The ordinary martabak stall only sell martabak with cheese, chocolate, and peanut flavours. Martabak Casablanca has something different! They fulfil the teenagers' craving for something new and trendy! Yep, they have nutella, toblerone, caramel, blueberry, strawberry, durian, chunky bar, oreo and ceres. So here's the front look of Martabak Casablanca.

I am sorry for my reflection in this photo haha. Here you can see the menu and the price list of each martabak.

This time I order one martabak with nutella as the topping, one of recommended menus in here. First it is baked on a pan, greased with butter, and the last is the topping. Moreover, the martabak is folded in half and cut into portions. The size of the martabak in here is not too big yet the topping is greased super generously! The price of one martabak with nutella as the topping is IDR 48K. It isn't expensive if I compare to other martabak stalls.

This is the martabak stall for the savoury flavour. As you can see the making process from the photos below, the making process is quite different with the sweet martabak. They use a large frying pan and vegetable oil to sautee the martabak. Savoury martabak consists of egg, chicken meat or beef (depends on what you choose), and mixed vegetables. A plate of hot white rice is just a perfect company for this martabak!

They don't have delivery service right now. But they have plan to reach it one day.

Ron's Laboratory Grand Indonesia

Yep I am joining Treat and Tell Level 5 tenants Grand Indonesia and I choose Ron's Laboratory to be reviewed. Because this cafe is freakishly trending recently! The concept of this cafe is laboratory, as you can see from the unique decoration in the photos. Moreover, the style of making the ice cream is molecular gastronomy, which means that the ice cream and the science itself have a correlation. They make the ice cream by using liquid nitrogen. All of the crews use laboratory uniform, glasses, mask, and hand gloves to make them look like scientists and also for the hygiene of the ice cream. The system for order is you go directly to the cashier, and then the crew will make your gelato. This system makes your gelato is new and fresh! Oh they also have coffee and tea! Furthermore, there will always 2 new menus every month. In order to avoid the long queue line, you should come on weekdays!

Why is it named Ron's Laboratory? Yes, you're right! The name of the owner is Ronald Prasanto. He is the chef in this cafe as well. This cafe is not large-spacious yet not too small either. Unfortunately there is no Wi-Fi, however you can find many plugs under your seat!

The Breakfast
This is one of favourite menus in here. As stated in the menu explanation, The Breakfast is plain base gelato with nutella swirl topped with crunchy cornflakes. I do loveeeeee this one! The taste is really astounding! The combination between plain base gelato and nutella is just perfect. And the crunchy cornflakes totally jazz up the ice cream. I recommend you to choose the chocolate injection. The price of The Breakfast is IDR 60K and the price of chocolate injection is IDR 8K.

Red Velvet
This one is another recommended menu from the crew. Yes it is medium roast chocolate gelato with cream cheese topping injection. The flavour is really rich and sweet. I like the colour of this ice cream. It looks so catchy and nice in the picture! The price of one Red Velvet is IDR 60K and it already includes the cream cheese topping injection.

Cappuccino
Nice look for a coffee! The price of a cup of cappuccino is IDR 29K. I can say that this is a super fine coffee with affordable price and splendid look!

Imissu
Imissu is a combination of coffee gelato, mascarpone cheese, lady finger and choco powder. It is also the newest menu in here! The picture is so tempted and I can't stand to not try this one! And yes, the taste is not disappointing. This coffee gelato is really coffee! I mean the bitter, not too sweet, and the smell. What more can I say? This gelato is super nice! The price of one Imissu is IDR 60K and the price of the chocolate topping injection is IDR 8K.

This is what we've waiting for! The famous dragon breath from Ron's Laboratory! The crew comes and offers us free popcorn that has dragon breath effect. Haha looks really fun, doesn't it?

Ron's Laboratory is located at Grand Indonesia West Mall 5th floor ED2-12B
MH. Thamrin Street No.1 Jakarta

Coto Makassar La Capila Yogyakarta

My friend is craving for Coto Makassar, then I remembered La Capila! The most well-known for their Coto Makassar in Yogyakarta. Here it is, I'd like to present Coto Makassar La Capila for you fellows! Located at Krasak Street No. 05 Kotabaru Yogyakarta. This place is not large-spacious, yet it has never been lack of customers! There's always a queue to get a bowl of Coto Makassar in here. Thus, if you want to avoid the queue line, don't come to here during breakfast and lunch. Haha!

Yep, this is what we're talking about. Coto Makassar! The price of one bowl of Coto Makassar is IDR 11K. Don't you think it's so cheap? Yes! You can find so many restaurants that sell delicious food with affordable price in Yogyakarta! How's the taste? It's unbeatable, however the gravy is too thick if I compare to another coto in Makassar. But that's okay I think.

Here is another famous food in La Capila. Es Pisang Ijo! It's kinda dessert actually. It's a banana that covered by green dough, served with red syrup and ice. The price of one portion Es Pisang Ijo is IDR 6K. The taste is super refreshing, sweet but not too sweet, and it's just perfect!

La Capila has another outlet that located at Gondang Raya Street, near to Condong Catur Terminal. This is a very good news for you who live at North Yogyakarta, including me! Haha :D

Plus, you can meet with Mr. Sulis. A generous, humble, and friendly parking man! :)
