Ketan Susu & Wedang Ronde from Mbok' Né - anak - cucu, I've been seeing my friends visited this café lately. This makes me wonder what and why this café is so trending among young people. Finally I can make a visit! They have one main café located at Buaran, one branch located at Kalimalang, and one branch located at Pondok Kopi. My friends suggest me to visit their branch that located at Kalimalang Street. They have large-spacious for the parking area. And I feel so surprised by how comfortable their place is! Besides, it is located closer to my house haha. Well..Take a look!

The café is not large, yet they're really great in managing the dining area. Surely, it feels so comfy and nice to hang out with friends in here! The dining area divided into two parts. Outdoor for the smoking area and indoor for no smoking area. By counting the chairs, I think they can accommodate around 50 customers. This café is always full, my friends said. Glad there's one table still available there!

Here is the menu. It consists of ketan (sticky rice) with 19 variants topping, snacks, and drinks. You have to see at their prices! They're very affordable in Jakarta. Especially they provide air conditioner, Wi-Fi, and plugs! The price range for the food is from IDR 8K until IDR 14K. Meanwhile, the price range for the drink is from IDR 3K until IDR 10K. Furthermore, both waiter and waitress in here are really nice and friendly. They serve really fast though lots of customers in this café. Many thumbs up! :D

Ketan Telur Kornet Keju

I am so starving. I really need to be injected with savoury food! Thus, I choose this one. Sticky rice topped with corned beef, fried egg, grated cheese, and chili sauce. Moreover, the food is served in little wok. But don't think you won't feel full due to the little portion, you will! I can guarantee it by myself. Because I've experienced it on my own hahaha! Actually the reason is they serve the sticky rice with perfect density. This food may look simple, but it tastes really delicious! Love this! The price of a portion Ketan Telur Kornet Keju is IDR 14K.

Ketan Durian

A sticky rice topped with durian gravy. This food is the most recommended by people. When it comes to the table, first thought in my mind is "ughh..it looks really plain". I am not expecting more from this food. However, when I eat this, MY TOUNGE IS REALLY GOT SPOILT! This food reminds me of Ketan Durian that my grandma used to make for me when I was little. The taste is incredibly same. Can't wait for another visit for this food! The price of a portion Ketan Durian is IDR 14K.

Thai Tea

An iced tea with condensed milk. They're really generous in giving the condensed milk! Nice and lovely drink. The price of a glass Thai Tea is IDR 10K.

Wedang Ronde

A recommended drink in here and also a perfect choice for the rainy day. A drink that made of ginger,will make you feel warm. And those balls are made of sticky rice. It contains sweet mashed peanuts. They serve a really nice Wedang Ronde in here, not too warm, and not too sweet. Definitely will order this drink again when I have another visit! The price of a bowl Wedang Ronde is IDR 10K.

Mega Mendung

I thought it is a name of a traditional drink! Haha it is actually a soft drink with condensed milk. As I said above, they're really generous in giving the condensed milk. You can choose the soft drink between cola and fanta. Tastes fresh and sweet! The price of a glass Mega Mendung is IDR 7K.

Susu Jahe Gula Merah

Again, a good drink for these rainy days lately. A cup of hot milk that given ginger and brown sugar. Tastes good, warm, and sweet! The price of a glass Susu Jahe Gula Merah is IDR 6K.

Finally we're now in the conclusion. I absolutely recommend you to come here! Beside all of those explanations above, this place is totally nice, comfortable, neat, and clean. Delicious foods and drinks with affordable prices. What more do you want? Directly drive your car/bike to here! :D

Sari Sanjaya Kelapa Gading Jakarta

If you're craving for Palembang foods, but don't know where to go for it. I'll recommend you Sari Sanjaya. Their main restaurant is located at Kelapa Gading. And their branches are located at Alam Sutera, Pondok Aren, Pantai Indah Kapuk, and Karet. Unfortunately, their service is not really good. The waiter and the waitress are not friendly, and sometimes the cashier miscalculates the prices. Maybe due to a lot of customers. However, they serve quite fast. There is large-spacious parking area, but will be very limited in the weekend. My family and I always visit this restaurant every time we miss Palembang. Sari Sanjaya provides all kinds of Palembang foods, from otak otak, pindang, es kacang merah, and cakes! Come on, let's talk about them one by one! :D

Otak-Otak

Otak-otak is a snack that made up of fish meat, tapioca starch, and spices. Served traditionally by wrapping it in banana leaf. In here, the dominant taste is from the fish meat which means that it tastes delicious! And the best companion for otak-otak is spicy peanut sauce!

Pempek

The most well-known dish from Palembang! Pempek is a fried fish cake and served with spicy cuka gravy. Moreover, pempek has similar ingredients with otak-otak which are fish meat and tapioca starch. But it can be steamed as well. Again, the fish meat is dominant! As you can see from the picture, pempek has many variants such as pempek kulit, adaan, kapal selam, lenjer, pastel, and keriting. All of them are superb! Taste so delicious and soft-textured.

Es Kacang Merah

Red beans, shave ice, red syrup, and topped with chocolate condensed milk. YUM! This is a recommended dessert in here, also my mom's favourite! Don't get disappointed by the photos. The red beans are still many more located below that ice haha.

Pindang Patin

I always order this menu when visiting this restaurant. Catfish served with spicy, sweet and sour gravy. Sliced pineapple, tomatoes, and basil which make this food taste incredibly delectable! You can choose one among the three parts of the catfish such as the head, the body, or the tail. I choose the body and the meat is so juicy! Eat this with steamed rice and it will be called heaven! :D

Nasi Uduk Ayam Goreng Mat Lengket Jakarta

I always fall in love to Indonesian foods. One of them is nasi uduk. I highly recommend you to visit "Nasi Uduk Ayam Goreng Mat Lengket" that has been established since 1973. This restaurant has been my favourite since 9 years ago and the taste has never changed! Why is it named Mat Lengket? First, I thought it is the name of the owner. But I was wrong. It is actually the father's name of the owner, Mrs. Lili Sutinah. The place and how they serve the customers are still same. No special facilities like air conditioner, wifi, nor plugs. Only clean and friendly atmosphere. But the mouth-watering fried chicken is worth it, right? :D The space of the restaurant is quite large. I bet it can accommodate around 80 customers. Though so many chairs available, this restaurant is always full. Well..let's talk about the food haha. Uduk rice is a characteristic food from Betawi. It is a steamed rice that cooked with coconut milk. And a perfect companion of uduk rice is fried chicken. However, not only fried chicken that is served in here, but also stewed dogfruit, stink bean, fried chicken liver, fried chicken gizzard, and many more. But you have to come earlier to get the delicious fried chicken liver and gizzard! Moreover, the service is nice and super quick! :D

This is it! The most delicious fried chicken that I've ever had! Eat it while warm with uduk rice, sambal, sliced cucumber, and fried onions. It tastes incredibly yuuuuummm! What more can I say? The chicken is fried with the secret recipe which makes it so soft and tasty. Their signature sambal makes it even more better! It is a lil' bit sweet, thus for those who can't stand for spicy food, you can eat the uduk rice along with the sambal.

Most customers order this orange juice, including me and my family. We very love it! Unlike the other restaurants who add more water to the squeezed orange, this restaurant served the original one with no additional water. This makes it tastes soooo orange and sweet! You gotta love it! :D

Nanny's Pavillon Yogyakarta

This saturday night I am going to a new shopping mall in Yogyakarta, namely Jogja City Mall. My bestfriend Risky, her sister Naya, and I finally decide to have a dinner at Nanny's Pavillon. Why is it named Nanny? Yep you're right. The concept of this restaurant is about a Nanny who lives in a happy family at a beautiful and splendid village named St. Rémy in Proverence, specifically located at north Alpilles mountain range. Nanny knows really well how to serve delicious foods that made by fresh ingredients. Nanny also very good at decorating the dining table with decent table runner, Peony flower with pink colour, and clean eating utensils. Nanny's Pavillon has different theme for each restaurant. In here, the theme is library as you can see on the photo below. Why library? I read the news which informed that library is chosen due Yogyakarta is known for student city. The capacity of this restaurant is 105 people. The dining area is separated into two parts, the indoor and the outdoor. Moreover, there's Wi-Fi! Well..let's start to decide which food for our dinner. Nanny's Pavillon has salad, lite bite, pasta, grilled, baked rice, milkshake, coffee, and many more. But don't be confused, all of recommended menus got a Nanny's picture on it!

Melisa's Hazelnut Coffee

I don't like coffee actually. But this one is different! The taste is not bitter, but not sweet either. The coffee is not too strong. And I do loooove the caramel topping and the fluffy texture! I am thrilled to finally find the perfect coffee for myself! But if you want the sweeter taste or bold taste of coffee, you can ask the waiter for it. The price of a glass Melisa's Hazelnut Coffee is IDR 29K (before the tax and service).

Cookies and Cream Milkshake

This one is stunning as well. Perfect combination among cookies, cream, and milk which are blended simultaneously. It is not overwhelming of sweetness. You're gonna love it like the way I do! The price of a glass Cookies and Cream Milkshake is IDR 29K. A big glass is worth the price, right? :D

Cecile's Salmon Baked Rice

Baked rice topped with grilled salmon, cream, mozzarella cheese, sautéed onion, butter, and tartar sauce. Can you imagine how delicious it is? All of them perfect cooked and tastes sooooo fantastic. Melted nicely in my mouth. The price of one portion Cecile's Salmon Baked Rice is IDR 48K (before the tax and service). Though there's no nanny's picture on this menu (nanny's picture marks the recommended menus), the taste is unbeatable as well! Served in very big portion, no wonder the price is IDR 48K.

Kim's Tuna with Rice

Baked rice topped with tuna, white sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese. This one is one of recommended menus in here. Amazing and memorable taste! Less seasoned and no MSG make the food yum just the way it is! The price of one portion Kim's Tuna with Rice is IDR 45K (before the tax and service).

Cecile's Grilled Salmon

The last but not the least, my fav menu in here! Grilled salmon, asparagus, and baby potatoes. You can choose mashed potato, french fries, or baby potatoes as the carbo. Unfortunately there's no mashed potato at this time, thus I choose the baby potatoes instead. Not disappointing at all, the baby potatoes are sautéed nicely, a lil bit salty on the outside but very soft on the inside. The grilled salmon wins everything! The portion is quite generous. The taste is super excellent. Less seasoned, crispy on the outside and so juicy on the inside. The price of one portion Cecile's Grilled Salmon is IDR 78K (before the tax and service).
